| Brass Shutter Bars with Pendant Latch |
At Sashes and Shutters we manufacture a comprehensive range of steel and brass
shutter bars - otherwise known as shutter stays, shutter catches, or shutter latches.
Having made hundreds of traditional box sash windows and sets of shutters to match, over twenty-five years as restoration
joiners in North Wiltshire, we were often on the look out for shutters bars to match our customers' existing ones.
We found that the only bars readily available had a mass-produced feel to them, and were therefore out of keeping with
a period property.
To
solve this problem, we started to manufacture our own, to match any existing bars left in the property, and over the years
we have developed our own range of shutter bars to suit most applications.
All our standard bars are made to specified lengths, as often we found, in being
locally made, the lengths of the original bars varied widely.We are also
able to make bespoke bars to match your property if needed, or any of the different variations of bars shown on the Gallery page. Please ask for details.
Our steel bars come white primed for over-painting as standard, or are available
powder-coated in a selection of RAL colours to extra cost. They come complete with appropriately finished slotted screws,
felt pads to prevent any rubbing on the paintwork, and are usually available for dispatch within 4-5 working days, depending
on our work load at the time.
